Chamber to host Business Recovery Workshop for businesses affected by Hurricane Harvey

HUMBLE, TX — Representatives from the Small Business Administration Disaster Recovery Team, the Small Business Development Council and The Texas Workforce Commission will be available to Lake Houston Area businesses to meet with during a workshop next Wednesday, September 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the InvesTex Credit Union Board Room at the Chamber office, located at 110 W Main St. in Humble.

Michael Flores, Public Information Officer with the SBA Office of Disaster Assistance,  Miguel Lopez, Executive Director of SBDC and Tom McCarty, Director of External Relations with TWC will share vitally important information regarding disaster related employee and employer unemployment benefits, business and individual loans available for business real and property damage not covered by insurance, working capital loans to get you back up and running as well as potential supplemental loans for eligible homeowners for their primary residences and personal property.

Opening remarks and a short introductory program will run until 2:30 p.m. with an opportunity for individual business owners to meet with the respective presenters until 3:30 p.m.
